GEO-SMART: Understanding Why
Location Matters

Trainees will receive a USGIF accredited high school level Geospatial Intelligence Technician credential (CGP-E)

Course Description:

Fundamental knowledge of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), cartography, and remote sensing. The goal of this training is to provide students with an introduction to the world of intelligence analysis and applied critical thinking. Successful compilation of this training meets the criteria set forth by the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) required to sit for the Certified GEOINT Professional— Essentials (CGP-E) exam. After completing this training, students will be able to: 1) demonstrate an introductory understanding of GEOINT theory and application; 2) Apply fundamental GEOINT skills and tradecraft required for employment at the technician level.
